
Brgy. Niogan, Pililla, Rizal | July 16–18, 2025
In a concerted effort to strengthen the organizational capacity and leadership of local farmer groups, the Laguna-Rizal Irrigation Management Office (IMO), in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), facilitated a three-day seminar from July 16 to 18, 2025, at Brgy. Niogan, Pililla, Rizal. The activity is under the Small Livelihood Program (SLP) of DSWD for CY 2025, with the Upper Batlag Irrigators Association Inc. (IA) as the primary beneficiary.
The three-day seminar was designed to prepare the IA members in managing the proposed Php 225,000.00 livelihood grant, aiming to ensure transparency, active participation, and sustainability in project implementation. A total of 15 farmer-beneficiaries actively participated in the program.
The three-day activity consist of the following:
Day 1 - SLP Orientation, Self-Awareness and Leadership Training
Day 2 - Organizational Development Training
Day 3 - Election and Project Proposal Meeting
Throughout the three-day activity, Mr. Randolf Victor, Provincial Development Officer II of DSWD, served as the lead resource person. His guidance and facilitation ensured that participants were actively engaged and empowered throughout the sessions.
The Laguna-Rizal IMO reaffirmed its commitment to empowering farmer organizations through continuous capacity development, partnerships, and inclusive project implementation.
