NIA-LRIMO Launches Seed Capital Fund Project in Partnership with DSWD

July 9 – The National Irrigation Administration-Laguna-Rizal IMO (NIA-LRIMO), in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), launched the Seed Capital Fund (SCF) under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) to empower farmers through livelihood support.

A seed capital grant worth ₱225,000.00 was awarded to the Macatad Farmers SLP Association, who will use the fund to start a hog raising enterprise. The initiative aims to promote sustainable livelihood and uplift the quality of life of local farmers.

Led by LRIMO Division Manager Engr. Fidel P. Martinez, the event gathered key NIA Region IV-A officials including Regional Manager Engr. Roberto J. Dela Cruz, EOD Manager Engr. Marinel D. Tobias, Operations Chief Engr. Carlos M. Dela Cruz, Supervising IDO Ms. Lara B. Javan, and O&M Chief Engr. Marlon R. Dela Cruz, and Mr. Leonard Altamirano along with DSWD FO IV-A Promotive Service Division OIC-Chief Mr. Dionisio B. Dalusong.
