Turnover of Leadership

Monday, March 4, 2024 - 10:00

March 4 - The National Irrigation Administration Region IV-A conducts leadership turnover between Engr. Romulo Angeles and Engr. Edwin Nazareno. The two (2) managers have officially exchanged leadership roles within the National Irrigation Administration's Cavite-Batangas Irrigation Management Office (CBIMO) and Quezon Irrigation Management Office (QIMO) respectively.

Presided over by NIA IV-A Regional Manager Engr. Roberto Dela Cruz, the said activity is in accordance with the Office Memorandum Circular Nos. 20 & 21, series of 2024. Engr. Angeles served as the Acting Division Manager of NIA CBIMO for seven (7) months while Engr. Nazareno spearheaded the NIA QIMO for two (2) years where he became a full-fledged Division Manager.

Addressing the importance of such transitions, RM Dela Cruz emphasized the significance of leadership turnover in refining the skills of agency officials. He sees these changes as both a challenge and an opportunity, aligning with the NIA Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie G. Guillen's goals and agenda to achieve agency objectives of supporting the agriculture sector and Filipino farmers.

"Ginagawa ito ng ating NIA management para i-expose tayo sa iba't-ibang assignments na malaki ang maitutulong para ma-improve natin yung ating leadership. Kaya naman sa ating mga kasamahan, patuloy lamang natin suportahan ang ating mga managers kahit saan sila mapunta.", he said.

The reassignment offers both managers an enhanced opportunity to oversee diverse positions and offices. Engr. Angeles is set to assume the role of Division Manager at Quezon IMO, while Engr. Nazareno will bring his expertise to NIA Cavite-Batangas IMO.
