28 March 2023 - To provide decent and comfortable working environment and to efficiently maximize irrigation facilities, NIA Cavite-Batangas IMO conducts Inauguration Ceremony of NIA Cavite-Batangas Palico Satellite Office and Inspection of the ongoing Automation works of Palico River Irrigation System (RIS) in Nasugbu, Batangas
The activity was graced by NIA Deputy Administrator for Engineering and Operations Sector Engr. C’zar Sulaik who highlights the importance of promoting employees’ welfare to facilitate quality service to agriculture sector and Filipino farmers.
DA Sulaik also encouraged NIA employees to continually support the aspirations of NIA Administrator Engr. Eddie G. Guillen to improve irrigation services and assist Filipino farmers through various convergence program.
“I call on your commitment to continue to work together for us to achieve the 7-Point Program of NIA. Mas palakasin pa natin yung ating pakikipag ugnayan sa ating mga LGUs at iba pang sangay ng Gobyerno para maalalayan ang magsasaka. Let us take every opportunity to become the best version of ourselves as public servants”, he emphasized.

“Kasabay nung pag modernize natin ng ating mga opisina ay nararapat lang na mas maging maayos ang ating serbisyo sa ating magsasaka”, he said.
NIA Cavite-Batangas IMO Manager Engr. Jaime De Jesus, on the other hand, assisted the group for the inspection on the ongoing auomation works of Palico River Irrigation System (RIS). Said system has an existing service area of 1,108 hectares benefiting 604 farmers in the municipalities of Lian and Nasugbu, Batangas.
The automation is part of the modernization effort of the Agency which aims to upgrade irrigation system to maximize the full potential of water in irrigating agricultural lands.
Also present during the event were Nasugbu Batangas Municipal Administrator Mr. Emer Bordeos, Batangas IA Federation President Mr. Teodoro Jonson Jr., Regional Office Principal Engr. Romulo Angeles, Administrative and Finance Division Manager Ms. Reynaria Tapia, other NIA Regional Office and NIA CBIMO officials.
