The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) – Regional Project Monitoring Committee IV-A, along with representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and other key stakeholders, gathered in Macalelon, Quezon for a comprehensive "Field Inspection cum Problem-Solving Session (PSS)" regarding the Macalelon Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (MSRIP). Key participants included NEDA's CEDS Valter Morada, PSR Ding Andal, PSR Ruel Punzalan, EDS/PMED Richard Engasa, Admin Asst. II/FAD Farhad Ali Asgari, and DILG's Engineer III Darren C. De Chavez.
During the meeting, NIA – Quezon IMO Macalelon SRIP personnel provided updates on the project's current status. Topics covered include access road improvements within the affected Barangay, as well as the necessary permits and certifications from various agencies. The challenges related to documentation and project construction were also discussed, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts among different agencies. Participants also deliberated on potential issues that might arise in the future.
The event saw the active involvement of various agencies and individuals associated with the project, including Mr. Ramil J. Gutierrez, CENR Officer of DENR-CENRO Catanauan, Quezon, Engr. Lorenz Carlo R. Gonzales of DPWH Quezon III DEO, Mayor Artemio A. Mamburao, Municipal Mayor of Macalelon, Quezon, local government personnel, Sangguniang Bayan Members, and Brgy. Captain Federico M. Angeles of Brgy. Vista Hermosa, the affected area. NIA – Region 4A representatives, led by Engr. Toni-Janssen Monserrat, and Quezon IMO Division Manager Engr. Edwin C. Nazareno, also joined the discussions.
On a positive note, the attending agencies expressed their commitment to providing assistance and support to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted progress of the project.
