The blessing and inauguration ceremony of NIA Laguna-Rizal IMO (NIA-LRIMO) New Administration Building was held on 27th of July 2022 at NIA Region IV-A Compound, Pila, Laguna.
The ceremony started with a mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Emil Urriquia followed by, ceremonial cutting of ribbon, unveiling of NIA-LRIMO marker accorded by NIA Administrator Gen Ricardo R Visaya (Ret), NIA IV-A Regional Manager Engr. Wilson M. Lopez, NIA Laguna-Rizal IMO Manager Engr. Fidel P. Martinez, Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Erwin M. Lucela, Administrative and Finance Division Manager Ms. Reynaria N. Tapia, PAIS Department Manager Ms. Eden Victoria C. Selva and other NIA IV-A officials and employees.
In his welcome remarks, Manager Engr. Fidel P. Martinez greeted all employees and guests to the newly constructed office.
“Itong office na ito ay ituring sana na pangalawang tahanan ninyo, pangalagaan at pagkaingatan. At nawa’y makatulong ito upang mas pursigihin natin ang kanya-kanyang mga trabaho”, he said.
Administrative & Finance Division Manager Ms. Reynaria N. Tapia, said on her message, “This new LRIMO building symbolizes legacy and its ability to cater 107 NIA-LRIMO employees in such a better and spacious workplace”.
On the other hand, EOD Manager Engr. Erwin M. Lucela, emphasizes that the new building will provide a better ambiance not only for the employees but for the farmer-clienteles and other stakeholders visiting the office.
NIA IV-A Regional Manager Engr. Wilson M. Lopez recognizes all the hard work to mark the activity a success. He also added that the completion of the new establishment is part of the modernization of the Agency.
“Sabi nga, ang opisina ay isang salamin ng isang Ahensiya. Kung may mas maayos tayong mga opisina mas ma-i-improve pa ang ating mga serbisyo para sa ating mga magsasaka.”, he added.
Being the Guest of Honor and Speaker, NIA Administrator Gen Ricardo R Visaya (Ret) tenderly and genuinely expressed his gratitude to all NIA Region IV-A officials and employees for all the support given to him for the past five (5) years of his service in the Agency.
Administrator Visaya reiterates his commitment to the Agency in modernizing irrigation systems and various offices not only in Central office but to all NIA field offices nationwide. Said development is part of his 4-point Agenda when he first took the highest position in the Agency.
He also encourages all the officials and employees to rally behind and to join the incoming administration in continuously attaining the mission and vision of the Agency.
“Aasahan ko na patuloy niyo pa rin susuportahan ang magiging bagong Administrator kagaya ng pagsuporta niyo sa akin o mas higitan niyo pa ang suporta para mas umangat ang serbisyo na ibinibigay natin sa magsasaka”, he added.
The 22-million worth building will accommodate a total of 107 NIA-LRIMO personnel and all other farmer-clienteles and stakeholders aiming to provide good and quality workplace environment, to keep the employees on task, and to work efficiently with the best possible resources. l G. Silvania, LRIMO
